I have just completed my MBA Program at Xavier University, a Jesuit-run university.
In a matter of one year, i am able to complete all the academic requirements of the university.
Now i'm back here at the Department of Agriculture. I am obliged to render my service for two more years since they allowed me to take a study leave and continued to pay me every month. The Civil Service Commission paid for my school bills which again, i am grateful for this opportunity.
The company (Inke-GSE Corp) that we established here in Cagayan de Oro two years ago with my friend has been growing steadily. Our obligations from our creditors were paid and we already have a return of our investments.
We have opened up two branches in 2009, one in Butuan and the other one in Kidapawan. We have expanded our manpower from 2 fulltime employees to 5, in Cagayan de Oro alone. In Butuan we have 2 fulltime and a business partner which also acts as a branch manager. The same goes with Kidapawan.
I now have a feel of the Philippine business environment, from dealing with different suppliers, competitors, customers, and your own roster of people to the nitty-gritty stuffs of accounting systems, inventory management, strategic planning, marketing, and the wh0le gamut of business systems in general.
From where i live today, i still believe that it is possible to achieve something that would uplift the lives of the other person while pursuing your dreams in life. I cannot pinpoint where my journey started but right now i am excited of the things that will unfold and the wonderful things that i will uncover as i pursue this path.
Tomorrow again....
